DELIVERY POLICY
Caribbean Motoring delivers to Tropical Shipping or a freight forwarder of your choice within 3-5 business days of the order being placed and confirmed.
WARRANTY POLICY
A. Warranty Coverage
Caribbean Motoring offers limited warranties on the following used engines:
Used Replacement Engines: 90 days (unless otherwise specified on the sales receipt).
Used Performance Engines: 30 days (unless otherwise specified on the sales receipt). Note: Mazda RX-7 13BT/13BTT/20B rotary engines carry no warranty.
Used Marine Engines: No warranty.
All Electrical/Electronic Parts: No warranty.
Used Performance Transmissions: No warranty.
Used Replacement Transmissions: 90 days (unless otherwise specified on the sales receipt).
B. Items Covered by the Limited Warranty
Warranty coverage includes internal engine components, including but not limited to pistons, crankshaft, bearings, camshaft, valves, and the engine block. Cylinder walls and cylinder heads are covered to be free from cracks or distortions. Head gaskets are covered for 30 days.
Caribbean Motoring reserves the right to repair, replace, or exchange parts or engines at its discretion.
C. Excluded Items
External engine parts like carburetors, distributors, sensors, flywheels, clutches, belts, hoses, and emission control devices are not covered.
D. Exclusions from Warranty
The following are excluded from warranty coverage:
Labor costs for removal or installation.
Damage from improper installation or overheating.
Damages from accidents, misuse, racing, or forced induction.
Failures due to environmental conditions or prolonged operation after failure.
Unauthorized repairs.
Failures due to wear and tear.
E. Limitation of Duration
Repairs or exchanges will not extend the original warranty period.
F. Disclaimer 1
This limited warranty supersedes all other warranties, expressed or implied. Any implied warranties are limited to the duration of this policy.
G. Disclaimer 2
Caribbean Motoring is not liable for incidental or consequential damages, including loss of use, commercial loss, or inconvenience.
H. Warranty Claim Procedure
All claims must be initiated via email or WhatsApp with an explanation of the issue. Freight charges for returning defective engines are the buyer's responsibility. A replacement engine will be shipped upon verification of a defect. If no defect is found, the buyer will bear return shipping costs.
Please note: Even in the event of a warranty replacement, the customer is responsible for all shipping and labor charges.
ENGINE REQUIREMENTS (Maintenance to Avoid Warranty Void)
To maintain the warranty, the following maintenance is required:
Replace engine oil and filters to manufacturer’s suggested levels.
Install new gaskets, inspect the timing belt/chain, and replace if needed.
Flush the cooling system and replace spark plugs, belts, and hoses.
Change oil after the first 600 miles and at the recommended intervals.
TRANSMISSION REQUIREMENTS
For warranty compliance on transmissions, ensure:
Flex plate inspection for cracks.
Replacement of seals and filters.
Proper torque converter alignment (for automatic transmissions).
Reset control module codes and add transmission fluid to the manufacturer's specifications.
CONDITIONS OF USED ENGINES
Used engines sold by Caribbean Motoring may have 20,000-100,000 miles and show signs of wear. Minor cosmetic imperfections, such as scratches, and fragile components like plastic or rubber parts may be present.
PAYMENT POLICY
Caribbean Motoring accepts the following payment methods:
All Major Credit Cards via QuickBooks (VISA, MasterCard, AMEX, VISA Debit, and MasterCard Debit).
Apple Pay
Venmo
PayPal
All payments must be processed before delivery.
RETURNS POLICY
All sales are final. No returns will be accepted.
TERMS & CONDITIONS
As-Is Sale
You, the "Buyer," acknowledge that the Parts are sold "As Is" and "Where Is" without any warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose.
Release and Indemnification
The Buyer releases Caribbean Motoring from any claims regarding the Parts, including those for personal injury or property damage, and agrees to indemnify the Seller for any such claims. In the event of legal action, the Buyer is responsible for legal costs and attorney fees.
Partial Enforceability
If any portion of this agreement is found unenforceable, the remainder will remain in force.
NOTE ON ENVIRONMENTAL COMPLIANCE
Engines complete with accessories may not meet emission standards in certain states. It is the buyer's responsibility to transfer necessary emission control devices from the original engine to meet local laws.
IMPORTANT NOTICE
Failure to comply with the required maintenance, as outlined above, will void the warranty.
